Hurricane Dave: Home
Welcome to my Web site.
NEW CD !!!: My good buddy and producer Josh Noland and I have wrapped up a new album of songs I've written about Alaska from the viewpoint of a newcomer. It's called "The Cheechako Chronicles -- Postcards, E-mails & Tweets From Alaska." (Yes, we changed the title a bit from the original plan.) It's the perfect souvenir for visitors to Alaska and an appropriate complement to any Alaska resident's music collection. Songs include "A Grizzly Stole My Salmon But She Let Me Keep My Arm," "Made in China" (a song about souvenir shopping), "The Night The Aurora Borrowed Alice," "Cravin' Carbs" and, of course, my previously released single, "Please Don't Ask Me About Her."
You can buy a copy at any of my personal appearances or online at cdbaby.com, iTunes, etc. (For details, click the CDs & DOWNLOADS link.)
Click the CALENDAR link to see where I'll be playing.
As long as you're in the cyber-neighborhood, I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to some clips from my previous album, "Bar Stools & Church Pews: Songs For Friday Night & Sunday Morning," by clicking the "Music" link. That CD can be ordered or downloaded at cdbaby.com, iTunes and most other major Internet music sites.
The "Music" link also will take you to "Columbus Stockade Blues," a song I recorded several years ago with Josh and the world's greatest harmonica player, Charlie McCoy, who was recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Way to go, Charlie! It's about time!
There are also some "unplugged" selections, which will give you an idea of how I sound when it's just me, the guitar and the harmonica. Anyone looking to book me for a solo gig should pay particular attention to those cuts.
Click "News" for updates on my comings and goings and "Calendar" to see where I'll be performing.
Go to the "Photos" link to see what I've been up to with some friends of mine (I apologize for running a bit behind in posting photos).
Feel free to poke around the rest of the site, and be sure to sign my guestbook and join my e-mail list. Stay as long as you like.
Thanks for stopping by!
